The highest mountain in the Black Forest

The Feldberg, at 1493 meters, the highest mountain in the Black Forest, is worth a visit at any time of year.

All year round it is a paradise for walkers, who can enjoy a fantastic view of the surrounding Black Forest from the many hiking trails. In summer, the flourishing flora and fauna can also be admired in the largest and oldest nature reserve in Baden-Württemberg. In winter, the snow-capped mountains can be explored over the 60 kilometers of marked hiking trails. The mountain station of the Feldberg mountain railway at 1450 meters is recommended as the starting point for the most beautiful tours.

The Feldberg also constitutes the heart of the High Black Forest winter sports region. There is something for everyone here: skiers and snowboarders will find 16 lifts with 16 descents and approximately 30 km of slopes in the center of the region. There are also two snow-shoe trails and two toboggan runs.
